TechNote: Understanding Processes in 4th Dimension

The purpose of this technical note is to help to understand processes in 4th Dimension.

Processes have been a part of 4th Dimension since version 3.0.

Processes in 4D are not processes like those in other languages (i.e. not real threads). In fact, 4D is the unique thread that will emulate multiple trheads. This main process is the User/Custom menu process (or the User Interface, Client Manager, and Cache Manager processes on 4D Server).
